Accommodation

Unfortunately, the booking of accommodation for the VisHCI 2006 workshop is beyond our capacity. Participants will therefore be required to make their own accommodation arrangements. However, to give you some help, here are a number of possible places offering different styles of accommodation and catering for different budgets.

University House
The closest accommodation to the workshop venue, the Innovations Building on the ANU campus, is University House which is just a few minutes walk away. For information on the various room styles and rates, click on Accommodation on the University House website.

Rydges Lakeside Canberra
This upmarket hotel is just a 10-minute walk away from the workshop venue. It is in a great location with being close to the ANU campus, Canberra's central Lake Burley Griffin and the city centre. For more information on the hotel, its facilities and rates, click
here.

Novotel Canberra
This hotel is located right in the city centre of Canberra and only a 20-minute walk away from the workshop venue. You could also catch the bus No. 34 from the bus interchange diagonally across from the hotel which takes you right to the workshop venue. For more information on the hotel, its facilities and rates, click here.

Motels and Other Accommodation
Canberra has to offer quite a number of motels close to the city centre, ANU and the workshop venue. These are mostly located along Northbourne Avenue, Canberra's central north-south avenue, and only 5-10 minutes walk from the city centre from where you can catch the bus No. 34 to the ANU. Or it is about a half-hour walk to get to the Innovations Building.
