In the underwater robotics project
our objective is to develop technologies and methods for autonomous underwater
exploration and observation. We are developing a submersible robot, Kambara.
This autonomous underwater vehicle will have on-board sensing and computing
resources. With low-level reflexive control and high-level intelligent
behaviours, it will autonomously perform tasks underwater.

Thanks for your help naming our AUV!
We had many interesting suggestions. We have
selected "Kambara" which is an aboriginal word originating in northeastern
Australia and meaning crocodile.
