Research Interests
- Developing advanced, fast and robust signal processing methods for data collected with spherical geometry (spherical signals)
- Representations, concentration, dimensionality and sampling of spherical signals.
- Application driven development of signal processing techniques. Some applications I have worked on are:
- Localised reconstruction of geological signals on the Earth's surface
- Sampling and reconstruction of the head-related transfer function in acoustics
- Main application of interest is estimating the fibre structure of white matter in the brain using diffusion magnetic resonance imaging:
- Developing optimal sampling schemes in terms of the number of samples
- Accurate and fast reconstruction algorithms
- Denoising methods
- Sparse representations
- Higher dimensionality sampling and reconstruction
