Programming the Hardware Device

Before programming the hardware, turn on the Xilinx board; two of the 7-segement displays should have their d.p. illuminated.

Download the bitstream file andor.bit as follows:

1.

Using the Windows Explorer file manager, locate your andor.bit in your main project folder andor.

2.

Start the program XSVLOAD from the desktop icon or from the Start button.

3.

Make sure the Xilinx board is turned on.

4.

Drag the file andor.bit from Windows Explorer to the XSVLOAD window.

5.

Successful completion of the programming operation is indicated by one of the 7-segment d.p. being illuminated (one has been turned off).
