s-domain Method Summary

1.
Determine the initial conditions (capacitor voltage or inductor current at time t=0-).

2.
Determine the s-domain representations for each circuit element.

3.
Draw the s-domain circuit.

4.
Using KCL/KVL, etc, solve for the desired current or voltage in the s-domain.

5.
Transform back to the time domain making use of know LT pairs, and if necessary, partial fractions.

6.
Check your answer.
