  • From March 1, I will work as a research scientist in eHealth, CSIRO in Brisbane, Australia. In the past one year, I had an enjoyable time in IDEA group, UNC at Chapel Hill, where I learned a lot in research and harvested great friendship.

Research Interests

I am interested in medical image analysis using computer vision and statistical machine learning methods, as well as the involved optimization approaches. Particularly, I am keen in 3D shape modeling, statistical shape discrimination, 3D shape classification, deformable segmentation and registration. I am also interested in developing advanced learning methods by making use of the development of optimization techniques to solve the medical imaging problems .

About Me

I obtained my Ph.D degree in medical image analysis from School of Engineering, The Australian National University in 2010. After that, I worked as a postdoctoral research fellow in IDEA group, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, focusing on neuroimage analysis. Before I started my Ph.D, I was a senior software engineer in Volume Interactions (Bracco), developping medical imaging applications for surgical navigation and planning.
