Research Area: Low-power System-on-chips processors for High Performance Computing

• Build hardware and software framework for high resolution measurement of energy and power consumption on low-power SoCs. Published in JCTC 2015
• OpenMP Accelerator dispatch on TI TCI6638K2K quad-core ARM Cortex A15 + eight core C6678 DSP using the Open Event Machine RTOS API and on-chip Hardware Queues
• Implementation and Optimization of OpenMP 4.0 Accelerator Model for TI Keystone II SoC. Published in IWOMP 2014
• Demonstration of low-powered SoCs providing high GFLOPS/Watt with all processing elements on-chip being utilized effectively
• Evaluation of various processing element on SoCs including CPU, FPU, SIMD vector unit, GPU, DSP for different HPC workloads
• Performance evaluation of Adapteva Epiphany 64-core co-processor. Published in Special Issue on Applications for the Heterogeneous Computing Era, IJHPCA 2015 and AsHES 2014 Workshop (held in conjunction with IPDPS 2014)
• Performance Evaluation of ARM NEON SIMD instructions compared to Intel SSE2 using OpenCV image processing kernels. Published in AsHES 2013 Workshop (held in conjunction with IPDPS 2013)
• Evaluation of OpenMP on Low-Power TI Keystone II ARM/DSP System-on-chip. Published in IWOMP 2013
