Professor Cohen's Opinion

Professor Menachem Cohen is a celebrated Bible scholar. A member of the Department of Bible in the Faculty of Jewish Studies at Bar-Ilan University, he is the leader of a major project to produce the first critical edition of the Hebrew Bible based on the Aleppo Codex.

Professor Cohen has given us permission to publish his opinion on several important aspects of the Statistical Science experiment. These are the accuracy of the Hebrew text, and the validity of the set of appellations used for the famous rabbis.

Three minor corrections to the Hebrew edition, and several to the English translation, were made on October 28, 1997, at the request of Professor Cohen.
