In November 2010, Zohair completed his MSc degree in Communication and Signal Processing with distinction from the Electrical and Electronic Engineering department at Imperial College London, UK, at the top of his class, funded by Hani Qaddumi Scholarship Foundation (HQSF). There, he was awarded the Department Prize for Outstanding Achievement for his project “Localisation Testbed using Software-Defined Radio”, completed under Prof. Athanassios Manikas.
From January 2012 to May 2014, he was with the University of Luxembourg's SnT center as an early-stage researcher sponsored by an AFR scholarship from FNR (Fonds National de la Recherche - Luxembourg) to pursue research in the field of Interference Cancellation and Synchronization for Broadcasting Satellites.
Since June 2014, he has been with Research School of Engineering (RSEng) at the Australian National University (ANU), where he is pursuing research on signal processing techniques for mobile localization. During his PhD, Zohair was on a research visit to Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona, Spain and Chalmers University of Technology for a combined period of 4 months, hosted by Prof. Gonzalo Seco-Granados, and Prof. Henk Wymeersch, respectively.
