- Solar energy and photovoltaics

- Multicrystalline silicon solar cells - gettering, texturing, surface and bulk passivation

- Metallic impurities (Fe, Cu, Ni, Cr, Mn etc) in crystalline silicon, and their impact on solar cells

- Novel solar-grade n-type silicon materials and cell structures
