Introduction

System engineering is focused on the system as a whole; it emphasizes its total operation. It looks at the system from the outside, that is, at its interactions with other systems and the environment, as well as from the inside. It is concerned not only with the engineering design of the system but also with external factors, which can significantly contain the design (Kossiakoff et al. 2011).

Figure 1 illustrated the process of system engineering across time. There are 2 parts in system engineering namely designing and analysis.

This portfolio will only focus on the analysis part of the system engineering. Please note that energy mass balance topic will not be covered in this portfolio as it has been submitted as an individual research paper topic.
