I am interested in a broad range of topics under the umbrella of artificial intelligence (AI) spanning decision-making under uncertainty, knowledge representation and reasoning, machine and reinforcement learning, and information retrieval. My research has led me to apply the analytic and algorithmic tools from these fields to applications such as traffic control, web-based opinion mining, reasoning on the Semantic Web, and robotics.
