Downloading DIG

Dig is freeware.

The current release is Version 8.1b, Build 795. Change-log

By downloading DIG, you agree to the terms and conditions.

Dig is written in Java, and requires Java to be installed on your computer.

For Windows, there is an EXE file (rightclick and select "save as").
(This exe was created using the JSmooth executable wrapper).

For everyone else, there is a JAR file (rightclick and select "save as").

The JAR file must be run using the java virtual machine - e.g. invoked using
java -cp dig.jar Dig

Here are scripts for Windows and Linux/Cygwin, but you must change the filename of the JAR file to the place where you save "dig.jar".

To run, type
dig filename
or just type
dig
and then drag-and-drop files onto the main pane.

On Windows, I find it useful to associate the filetype ".dig" with the dig program.

I hope you find it useful. If you do (or if there are problems) let me know at Philip dot Kilby at anu dot edu dot au.
