The following are written in Standard ML,
and are written specifically for the lightweight
Moscow ML
compiler (which, in my experience, is easy and quick to install).
For other compilers, you will need to (at least) omit the expressions
load "..." ; in my code.
After installing Moscow ML, you will need to get into the directory
containing the files you have obtained from this page, and type 'make'

such as can be produced interactively and displayed by the
xfig program.
But if you want to use a program to generate lots of objects in a picture
then this software can do that.
