This page contains information for current and future students (those looking for a possible PhD place at the School of Computing at the Australian National University), as well as some useful resources for supervisors.


Prospective students, please note: At the moment I already supervise a large number of PhD students, so for the foreseeable future I do not have any further capacity for additional supervision.

Information and resources for future students

The following links are for students looking to start a PhD. Some of these are specific to the ANU while others are more general advice.

There are many more relevant sites on the Internet that can be a useful set of resources when trying to make a decision about pursuing a PhD or not. A search for "PhD advice" on your favourite Internet search engine will give you a long list of sites with both good, but maybe also some bad, advice.

Another helpful tip before contacting a potential supervisor is to first contact some of her/his students and ask them about their supervisor's approach to supervision.
