Research Overview

We are working on nanoscale science and technology, with various applications in areas ranging from nano-manufacturing, nano-electro-mechanical system (NEMS), energy harvesting to biomedical sensing. The research interfaces with electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, applied physics, materials science, chemistry and biomedical sciences. Specifically, we focus on the following topics: (1) high-throughput nano-manufacturing technology, (2) NEMS based novel biomedical devices, (3) nonlinearity engineering for NEMS, (4) high-efficiency nano-structured thin-film solar cells, (5) NEMS with novel two dimensional nano-materials.
